Pauline Raineri - choreographer, dancer & producer
Pauline trained in Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d’Annecy, Virginia School of the Arts (USA) and Ballet Junior de Genève (CH)
After graduating in 2013, Pauline worked with different artists and choreographers such as Trân Tran, Roméo Castellucci & Cindy Van Acker, Tamara Bacci & Carmen Perrin, Beaver Dam company, Sally Marie, James Finnemore and Woman's move among others.
She participated in a collaboration between the Tunisian structure Lang’art, directed by Bahri Ben Yahmed and the Swiss choreographer Filippo Armati (Ticino), for the project Hors Ville. With this same team, Pauline danced in the First edition of Les Journées chorégraphiques de Carthage (Tn).
During the 2018/19 season, Pauline assisted choreographer Olivia Grandville for the creation Jour de Colère, a commission for Ballet de Lorraine in Nancy (Fr) and participated in the CAMPING platform at CN D in Pantin (Fr) with the support of Pro Helvetia.
She danced for BudGe collective in the creation In Situ and for the artist Trân Tran in the piece Here & Now which is part of the Swiss Selection in Avignon 2019 and is still touring.
Pauline pays particular attention to continuing education throughout her career. She was introduced to theatrical improvisation with Laurent Baier in Lausanne (CH), light creation with Julien Brun, Swiss law with Anne Papilloud and Patrick Mangold and dramaturgy with the "Dance & Dramaturgie" program supported by Pro Helvetia.
in 2021, she graduated from the CAS Dramaturgie et performance du texte, UNIL and HES-SO La Manufacture.
As a maker
Pauline choreographs pieces for WAVE since 2016. Her pieces toured in Switzerland and in Europe.
As part of her choreographic work, she co-created with Sophie Ammann the piece Femmosité (2019) at TU-Théâtre de l'Usine in Geneva and Théâtre de l'Oriental Vevey in 2020. Femmosité is now produced by the association Jo & Alex Productions.
She also collaborated with the plastic artist Aline Morvan and the film director Mei Fa Tan.
Recently, she was assisting on the theatre creation L'Expat by Nigave Company, which was elaborated specifically for the neighborhood of Blancherie in Sion (CH) and part of Théâtre d'été de la Ville de Sion.
As a teacher
Pauline occasionally gives professional classes at Impasse - Studio Greffe.
Since 2019, she teaches an adult contemporary dance class for beginners at Imprimerie - Ecole de Danse de Genève on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
Throughout her career, she gave different workshops such as parents & kids workshop at Dansomètre in Vevey, Budge Summer Intensive, Dansehabile, Annecy Ballet Junior, a few audition classes for Sally Marie, Festival InciDanse and warm-up classes during creative residencies.
